"By day I ....... My dream is to spend my life doing what I feel that I was born to do." What are you here for? Think about it. Feel for the passion. Make it, ABSOLUTELY YES! Imagine. A complete breath of fresh air. At last, Paul Potts took action. Could you? Would you? * * * Paul Potts has battled a burst appendix, a huge tumor on his adrenal gland, and a shattered collarbone after being knocked off his bike. Paul faced another hurdle when he took part in Simon Cowell's new search-for-a-star show, Britain's Got Talent. "First I burst my appendix, then they found a 10cm benign tumour which had to be removed and just as I'd recovered, I was knocked off my bike, shattering my collarbone. It meant I had to take quite a lot of time out from singing but it's nice to have another shot at it." The 36 year old singer from Port Talbot, Wales, wowed the judges, Simon Cowell (The X Factor, American Idol), Amanda Holden (actress), and Piers Morgan (ex-tabloid newspaper editor, author, presenter). Wearing a "cheap Tesco suit" and with his hair cut too short, Paul admits the panel of judges weren't initially impressed. But when he sang the famous opera song, Nessun Dorma, he blew them away. Paul Potts said, "I don't think they were expecting very much. I'm a bit short and overweight and had a cheap old suit on and the hairdresser had used a number two on my hair instead of a four so it made me look a bit bald. "But when I sang, I made sure I looked at the judges and I saw Simon Cowell's jaw drop. I knew then I must have done alright." Britain's Got Talent is searching for an act to perform in front of The Queen at the Royal Variety Performance and win a £100,000 prize. Paul received a standing ovation from the 2,000-strong audience at Cardiff's Millennium Centre and potts (!) of praise from the hard-to-please judges. Post for Pottsy! The Passion of The People sings out for Paul Potts. The People's Hero. * * * Also check out: Connie Talbot (Somewhere Over The Rainbow) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... @incredulousG3 OK, fair enough, to someone who is a fan of opera music, Paul's audition is not the best version of this song. But to the rest of us who have had to sit through idiots singing to their dogs or the countless other talentless wannabes, his audition is very good. I suppose everyone has to start at the top in your world? Just fuck off and stop being such a cunt. Or better still go listen to your Juan Diego Florez.

@TheBaronsamedi88 hahahaha, it's funny because you're totally wrong. :D Paul Potts has not the credentials to sing opera, and that's made apparent in every single clip of him I listen to. Want a good version of this aria? Go look up Jussi Bjorling. He gives Puccini's masterpiece due justice. Also, this doesn't "sort the men from the boys". It's arguably one of the easier arias to sing in operatic literature. Go look up "Principe Piu Non Sei" by Juan Diego Florez. That's hard.
